Early Times Report

Poonch, Nov 18: Parents of thousands of students appearing in TI exams in subdivision Mendhar of class 5th, 6th and 7th respectively have alleged that their wards were not provided sufficient exam material despite printing charge and other dues fixed by the DIET, sources said here today.
They said that the dues fixed by the DIET for the students appearing in T1 examination of classes 6th to 7th were Rs. 100 for each student of class 5th and Rs. 150 for both and 7th class students respectively. The exams were earlier being conducted by DIET itself yet for this year the exams were conducted on zonal level but this time it has been found that students were given insufficient exam material, they added.
Sources said that DIET used to provide separate form, the question paper, answer sheet and registration charges were included in the fee fixed by the DIET. But this time though the charges were fixed by DIET yet no registration was made, no admission form was provided only question papers and answer sheets were provided to students which was sheer violation of rules they added.
While talking to Early Times a DIET official said that all expenses were mitigated out of the contribution by the students which include the marking charges of the paper earlier but this time how education department is taking the things seems to be a different story. Chief Education Officer Poonch Jagjit Singh had no information about the matter while SDM Mendhar Dr. Sahil Jandiyal Said the matter will be looked into.
Meanwhile Principal DIET Poonch Gulzar Qadri along with his team raided Harni and Mendhar Zones and found the allegation was correct. He on spot ordered an on inquiry into the matter and constituted team headed by Dy CEO Mendhar who will submit the report with in two days to the principal and accordingly action mention into the matter will be taken.
