Army organises Mendhar Ekta meeting

Mendhar, Nov 19: A Mendhar Ekta Committee meeting was organised by Arty regiment located at Mendhar in 19 Nov 2019.
The meeting was attended by prominent citizens of the town at Mendhar garrison, senior officer of civil administration and army/CAPF officials.
This meeting is organised from time to time to foster and reinforce the spirit of communal harmony and to promote peace and tranquility.
Speaking on the occasion Stn Cdr, Bhimber Gali thanked the people of Mendhar Tehsil for support rendered by them to local administration in maintenance of law and order post abrogation of Article 370.
During the meeting, the local populace expresses happiness and satisfaction on the positive role played by the local administration and security forces.
The event also provided a platform to the local populace to interact with committee members, civil administration and army officials to discuss issue of development in the region. The local populace and community leaders lauded the initiative and expressed hope that such initiatives by army will give a fillip to the communal harmony and development in the region. The other issues which were discussed included peace and security in the region, problem of road and congestion in traffic and youth development programmes.
