State Council of CPI expresses concern over continuous shutdown
11/19/2019 10:21:45 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Nov 19 : Jammu and Kashmir state council of the Communist Party of India (CPI) expressed its grave concern over the continuous shutdown, wide spread unrest and deteriorated situation in the state after abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A, dividing state on communal lines.
CPI feels that Government of India should desist from playing another drama of holding assembly elections in the state after the so called panchayat and BDCs elections in which, a nominal number of political black sheep's and non-resident Kashmiri pandits participated and got selected mostly unopposed.
It is surprising that why present ruling regime of BJP-RSS is telling lies, befooling whole country and misleading people as if all is well in J&K. What democratic validity is in holding such "Election Tamashas" when all political leaders are behind bars, thousands of youth, teenagers are languishing in jails in a miserable condition and except a small area in Jammu region whole population of J&K is under siege and silenced at gun point under the cruel and brutal use of state power.
CPI J&K vehemently oppose holding such type of fake assembly elections in the prevailing situation in J&K and demands that before holding any such assembly elections in J&K, autonomy of J&K state should be restored, all political prisoners be released and AFSPA and PSA like draconian laws should be withdrawn from the state.
Despite the false hoods of BJP ruling regime spread through a section of controlled media about the present situation in J&K, no one can imagine the feelings and wide spread anger, alienation and distress of the people after abrogation of special status. The common people feel as cheated, dishonored and enslaved by a new company raj of BJP imperialistic force which has unfortunately assumed power at the centre by misusing EVMs during the recent elections and polarizing the people on communal lines for garnering majority.
CPI J&K stresses that for saving the democratic and secular values of this great country, BJP regime ruling at the centre should read the writings on the wall by opening their blind eyes that no one except a small section of people are going to accept the partition and end of statehood of this Himalayan state. Let them pass whatever legislation they want on paper by using brute majority in parliament but you cannot win the hearts of the people of the state by such destructive steps.
