SAD criticizes govt for ignoring Punjabi language
11/20/2019 9:52:10 PM
Jammu, Nov 20: Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) criticized the bureaucracy for allegedly ignoring Punjabi language out of the purview of a committee constituted by GAD to make recommendations for suggesting syllabus for regional languages for purpose of conducting exams in union territory for recruitment to gazetted and non gazetted services.
It was viewed seriously and presumed that this is a deep rooted conspiracy by the vested interest who are hell bent to damage the multi linguistic culture of region. It is surprisingly noted that order seems to have been issued on 01.11.2019 only one day after Lt. Governor had joined his new assignments. It clearly indicated that there are some persons in bureaucracy who wants to tarnish the image of LG as only few language experts has been nominated as members of committee while others like Punjabi, Gogri and Urdu have been ignored, the press release reads.
Party strongly objected the behaviour of GAD and appealed the LG of J&K Union Territory to conduct the indepth enquiry in the whole episode and punish the culprits so that multicultural and multi linguistic fabric of the state is kept intact.
Among othrs who attended the meeting include Jathadar Mohinder Singh (President), Advocate Surinder Singh, Suchwant Singh, Roshan Singh, Baboo Singh, Sukhdev Singh Comrade, Manjit Singh, K. N. Singh and others.
