Students of NCE visit Red Cross Bhawan

Jammu, Nov 20: Fifty students of National College of Education, Purkhoo Camp Domana, Jammu alongwith Dr. Neetu Sharma, Professor visited Red Cross Bhawan Jammu today to acquaint themselves with Red Cross Society and to know about its core activities. They were welcomed by Dinesh Gupta, Hony. Secretary, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region. Gupta briefed them about its constitutional frame work besides "What it is, what it Does and How they can help other poor needy even without spending anything from their own pocket also". Later they were registered as "RESOURCE PERSON OF RED CROSS ." Vironica Marwah, Field Officer explained them about how this noble Organization came into being World-Wide more particularly in India. Further, Dr. Shelly Mahajan, M.D. Anesthesia, Medical Officer, IRCS gave them the basic tits bits of First-Aid and explained them how it can be useful for them in their day to day life. There was an active participation and interaction from the students. Apart from this they queried about how can they become the member of Red Cross and get associated with this noble organization by extending their services to down trodden and those facing distress due to manmade or natural calamities. The discussion went quite fruitful and concluded with good positivity.
