| HoDs take round of wards occasionally, juniors appointed for job | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Nov 22: It can happen only in the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMC&H) Jammu that the few Head of the Department of above said institute take a round of the their wards occasionally and junior are appointed for the job.
A group of doctors, seeking anonymity, told Early Times that the head of the department of the few departments are not willing to take wards' round as well as teach the students and senior doctors about the treatment to the patients for last some times.
"Instead of doing their job, they prefer to stay away from the rounds and engaged themselves in other works i.e. attending VVIP patients, staying in rooms, and other works," they alleged, adding that due to unavailability of them, the junior doctors take rounds and teach the budding doctors.
They added that it is not only affect the teaching but also effecting the treatment as HoD is most experienced and provide the best treatment to the patients to get relief from the suffering as soon as possible but unfortunately such things are not following by the few HoDs.
Due to a lack of interest in streamline the functioning of the said institute, everyone has engaged themselves in unnecessary works that causes great inconvenience to the patients and their attendants. |
