34 New Health & Wellness centres being set up in district

Rajouri, Nov 23: In order to review progress achieved under Ayushman Bharat scheme being implemented by health department in the district, District Development Commissioner, Rajouri, Mohammad Aijaz Asad today chaired a meeting of concerned officers here today.
A threadbare discussion was held with regard to awareness, mobilization of resources, issues hampering the implementation, identification of beneficiaries, registration and generation of golden cards under scheme.
DDC sought a detailed report from the MS GMC Rajouri and BMOs with respect to the progress achieved under the scheme, so far. He also enquired from them about the availability drugs under EDL and non EDL category.
The officers briefed that 91284 eligible beneficiaries have been registered under the scheme. They informed that the list of 90% of essential drugs is available with the department.
DDC, while seeking progress on number of cases submitted and number of claims approved, was informed that 182 claims have been settled till date.
While taking stock of Health and Wellness centres under Ayushman Bharat, it was informed that under phase I 14 HWC were sanctioned, of which 4 stands completed. Besides, 34 more Health and Wellness centres have been approved for the district.
DDC asked for generating awareness among the common masses about the scheme by organising special camps and installing hoardings at specific locations so that the benefit of the scheme can be percolated to all the eligible individuals of the district. He directed them to make it sure that every OPD has a brand of PMJAY pasted on it with the purpose to give vide publicity to the scheme. He stressed on mobilization of the field functionaries so that the target is achieved within the stipulated time frame.
The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer Shama-Un Ahmed, Chief Medical Officer, Sanjay Puri and all the Block Medical Officer.
