Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 30: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) J&K and Pradesh Congress Committee Migrant cell was held here under the Chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, President JTC/Soan Kashmir front & Co-Convernor PCC (Migrant cell) J&K. The meeting was attended by the office bearers and members. Shadi Lal Pandita while addressing the participants has expressed his grave concern over neglecting Kashmiri Pandit Migrant community by BJP Government in Centre lead by Narendra Modi. Pandita has said that since 2014 when BJP Government came into Power in Centre nothing has been done for the welfare of the Kashmiri Pandit community while as during Congress Government the then Prime Minister of India S Manmohan Singh had announced an Employment Package of 6000 posts for Kashmiri Pandit educated Migrant youth which has not been implemented by the BJP Govt. in letter and spirit as yet about 3000 posts are lying unfilled.
Pandita further said that the Congress government ensured accommodation to the Kashmiri Pandit Migrant families by raising Jagti Migrant town ship at Jagti Nagrota, Muthi, Porkhu, Nagrota as well as Transit camps in Kashmir valley for accommodating Migrant employees serving in Kashmir valley in different districts. Pandita has said that Congress government assured for construction of two room sets for accommodating 6000 migrant employees families but it is surprising that present BJP Government has proposed one room set quarters for the Migrant employees i.e. (One BHK quarters instead of Two BHK quarters).
Pandita has said that BJP government has failed to enhance cash assistance relief in favour of Relief holder migrants. Pandita has demanded enhancement of cash assistance relief to the tune of Rs. 25000/- per month per family.
