JAMMU, Nov 30 : Today in Bhalwal Karwanda, Raipur Domana constituency,Shri kailakh jyotish evim vedic sansthan celebrating Gita jyanti.
On occasion trust president Mahant Rohit Shastri said Gita Jayanti is the birthday of Bhagavad Gita. This day falls on Shukla Ekadashi of the Margashirsha month but trust celebrated today.It is that sacred day when Lord Krishna gave the immortal message to Arjuna in Kurukshetra and we distribute gita at free of cost and appeals to remain united and to work for the preservation of their culture and their moral values.
Sham Lal Sharma, the chief guest of the function said that the main purpose of celebrating Gita Jayanti is to recall the words of Gita and to apply it in our daily life. It allows individuals and families to lead a courageous as well as an active life that is productive. There is not an iota of doubt that Bhagavad Gita is supreme in its power to inspire humans to pursue a righteous path prompting individuals to think positively, to take fair decision and have a right perspective towards life. It is a guide to virtuous path and one necessary for the spiritual liberation. It accepts multiple ways of life harmonizing spiritual pursuits through action, knowledge and devotion. It says that one must do the right thing without craving for its fruits and without worrying about the results.Sham Sharma also encouraged the youth to read the Gita.
Vibodh Gupta, the guest of honor Asserting that Shrimad Bhagavad Gita is the need of the hour, he stressed that people should read Gita daily and go through the text for getting inner peace and attaining eternal knowledge. The work done by Mahant Rohit Shastri become an icon for the young youth and he also unite the society and promote our culture. Dr. Rani Didchi said Gita Jayanti is the auspicious day of the advent of Srimad Bhagavad-gita. This is the day on which Lord Krishna imparted the essence of Vedic knowledge to Arjuna over 5500 years ago and enlightened him about the ultimate goal of life.
Rakesh Gandotra vote of thanks the guests this function and said Gita-mahatmya, if one properly follows the instructions of Bhagavad-gita, one can be freed from all miseries and anxieties in this life, and one's next life will be spiritual.
On the occasion Pandit purshotam shastri, Pandit Ravi Dutt and Deepak shastri were honoured contribution the society.
