Udhampur, Dec 1: A monthly meeting of J & K ReT Teachers' Forum today held at Udhampur under the chairmanship of J&K U.T. President Vinod Sharma and District President Lekh Raj Parihar. The meeting was attended by a large number of teachers from all the eleven zones of the district.
While speaking on the occasion , Vinod Sharma while highlighting the issue of the cadre said that many left out graduates and undergraduate teachers who have acquired qualification from outside the state recognized universities have not been converted to Teachers Grade II / Teachers Grade III due to which their salaries are pending since March 2019 onwards. He also said that recently regularised ReTs are also without salary since March 2019 as they haven't been converted to Teachers Grade II /Grade III and these teachers and their families are on the verge of starvation as they are unable to provide basic necessities of life to their family members. He urged the Director School Education Jammu to fix the meeting of Divisional Level Committee this week and convert all the left out teachers to Teachers Grade II / Teachers Grade III including recently regularised ReTs.
He further said that Director School Education Kashmir isn't sanctioning the cases of time bound promotions of teachers of Kashmir province and there is also huge pendency of Teachers Grade II and Teachers Grade III due to which teachers are suffering badly.
