Back to Village programme held at Pyt Khanpur

Samba, Dec 1: Deputy Project Director (ATMA) District Samba participated in Back to Village Programme at Panchayat Khanpur, Block Ramgarh. During his address to the farmers, he deliver lecturer on Mission 2022 for double farming income. He advised the farmers to adopt diversified farming and grow the cash crop like exotic vegetable in their respective field by using organic manure and waste decomposer technology. He further gave the suggestion to the farmers to take benefit from Central sponsored schemes in Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal Husbandry, Sheep Husbandry, Fisheries and Sericulture. Farmers should also adopt seed production technology. He also gave the concept of ATMA and programme related to ATMA in district Samba e.g.
Training with in district; exposure visit with in state, exposure visit outside the state, Demonstration, Farm Women Food Security Group Kissan Ghoshties, farm school, farmer scientist interactions, farmer friend and exhibition / Kissan Melas. He appeal to the young generation of rural areas to adopt schemes like dairy, Poultry and Mushroom if they want to become effective entrepreneur. Visiting officer, Dy. Director Information Babu Ram Tondon, Agriculture Extension Assistant Bhupesh Chander Gupta, Sarpanch Champa Devi, Naib Sarpanch Jagdish Raj, all Panches, officers from other departments and large number of farmers participated in Back to Village programmes. Healthy interaction was also observed during the proceedings.
