Winter vacation for schools in Ladakh from Dec 2

Srinagar, Dec 1: The UT administration of Ladakh today announced winter vacation for all government and private recognised schools of Ladakh.
According to an order issued by the School Education Department, Ladakh, winter vacation for classes up to middle in Kargil district would be observed from December 2, 2019, to February 20, 2020, while winter break for classes and schools from Class IX to Class XII in Kargil district would be observed from December 9 to February 20, 2020.
The order reads that winter vacation for all classes and schools up to Class XII in Leh district would be observed from December 9, 2019, to February 20, 2020.
The order also reads that the officials of the School Education Department, Ladakh, if any, associated with the conduct of examinations, would avail winter vacation only after the conclusion of such examinations and the officials required to undergo trainings as per schedules notified or to be notified by the administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh would attend such training programmes.
