| Rajouri Town turns dark, Streets with out lights | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Dec 1: Lakhs of rupees had been spent on street lights for Rajouri Town by Municipal Committee Rajouri under the supervision of President MC Rajouri during last few months, but the town turns dark in the night mocking on the MC. MC Rajouri removed some old and defunct street lights from the streets for installation of new street lights but only simply 100 wt lamp hang by the said department in the street instead of new street lights. Javed Ahmad a social activist of Rajouri said that maximum street of Rajouri town turned into darkness due to the poor management and misappropriation of funds of MC Rajouri where there is the more need of street light those area neglected by the said department which shown poor and mismanagement of the Municipal Committee as well as the councillor of the respective ward.
One prominent person Nazir Ahmed of ward 8 Rajouri said, "I'm using torch daily when I go to masjid Usman-e-Ghani for Namaz-e- Fajar from my house near Girls school to towards old CDPO office Rajouri ward 8 even not a single street light or lamp have installed by the department from last one year he added." Resident appeal to Lt. Governor Administration and DDC Rajouri look into the matter on priority bases and redressed the public grievances as soon as possible. |
