JAMMU, Dec 1: In a rare achievement for the sports arena of J&K, the International Wrestler and SSP Dushyant Sharma, presently posted as Staff Officer to ADGP Armed Jammu and Kashmir (Sports) will act as Chef de Mission of the Indian contingent during the 13th South Asian Games at Kathmandu, Nepal.
Sharma was nominated by Indian Olympic Association (IOA) to represent India as Chef de Mission.
It was a big achievement for J&K that International Wrestler Dushyant Sharma, who is also president of Jammu and Kashmir Olympic Association and Joint Secretary of Wrestling Federation of India, was chosen as Chef de Mission of Indian contingent.
Meanwhile, the colourful opening ceremony of 13th South Asian Games was conducted today at the Dasarath Rangasala in Kathmandu (Nepal). President Bidhya Devi Bhandari declared the games open. |
