Asks it to act against terror networks posing threat to regional security

Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 2: India has once again left the Pakistan red faced as Japan has asked Islamabad to act against the terror outfits operating in the country. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met their counterparts Kono Taro and Motegi Toshimitsu in New Delhi recently. A joint statement issued after the meeting noted the threat posed to regional security by terrorist networks operating out of Pakistan and asked it to take resolute and irreversible action against them and fully comply with its commitments including to FATF.
An analyst while talking to Early Times said, "Japan till date had maintained silence over the issue of Pak-sponsored terrorism but now it too has joined the chorus and has slammed Pakistan for posing a threat to regional security."
He said that all the attempts of Pakistan to build the international pressure on India over Kashmir have backfired. "As on date Pakistan stands exposed as the international community has realized that Pakistan is breeding ground for terrorists," he added.
An observer said that Japan is not the only country which has backed India's stand against terror in Pakistan. "Most of the countries have endorsed the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and they have assured him that they support his war against terror," he added.
The observer said that, "Pakistan needs to read the writing on the wall. It can't have the cake and eat it too. If it fails to act against the terror outfits operating on its soil before February 2020, the deadline set by the FATF then it would end up getting blacklisted like Iran and North Korea."
Another analyst said that Pakistan knows it very well that it cannot fight a conventional war with India as it cannot win. "So it will make every possible attempt to keep the conflict alive by pushing in the terrorists into Jammu & Kashmir."
The Director General of Border Security Force on Sunday said that since the day Government of India has taken political decisions viz a viz J&K, the Line of Control and the International Border have become highly sensitive as terrorists are making desperate attempts to infiltrate into this side.
The analyst said that Pakistan seems least bothered about the international pressure being exerted on it. "The only agenda of Pakistan Army and its spy agency ISI is to create disruption to keep the pot boiling. And there is every possibility about FATF blacklisting Pakistan in February 2020, once it happens then Pakistan will have no one to fall back upon as the international community has already turned its back towards our neighbouring country," he added.
