RAMBAN, Dec 4: District Development Commissioner Ramban Nazim Zai Khan today inaugurated an awareness programme at conference hall Maitra to enhance enrolments under Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan (PM-SYM) and National Pension Scheme for Traders and Self-Employed Persons (NPS-Traders).
Along with others ADC Ashok Kumar, CMO, CAO, ALC, DPO, AD Employment, BDOs, members of Block Development Council, Agnanwari workers, ASHAs, and around 500 unorganized workers besides the committee members attended the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC said special enrolment has been started during Pension week as many of our people are engaged in unorganized sector such as street vendors, labourers, home-based workers etc.
He enlightened the gathering about the benefits of schemes and asked them to spread the awareness among their fellow friends and encouraged each unorganized worker between the age group of 18 years to 40 years to enroll and invest in these schemes in order to avail the benefits after attaining the age of 60 years.
