JAMMU, Dec 4: Assistant Labour Commissioner Jammu organized Common Service Centre (CSC) in the office premises to facilitate enrolment under the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan Yojna (PMSYM) and NPS Traders Pension Scheme. The Assistant Labour Commissioner Jammu Devia Nanda organized two CSC Centres within the office premises where in the hassle free and bulk enrolment of unorganized workers was carried out. A special help desk has also been launched there where in detailed information about the scheme can be gathered. The two pension schemes cover all unorganized workers engaged as rickshaw pullers, street vendors, mid-day meal workers, head loaders, brick kiln workers, cobblers, rag pickers, domestic workers, washer men, home-based workers, own account workers, agriculture workers, construction workers, beedi workers, handloom workers, leather workers, audio-visual workers, or in similar other occupations between the age group of 18 to 40. The monthly premium ranging between Rs 55 to 200 in proportion to the age of the worker is to be contributed by the beneficiary until he or she attains the age of 60 and an equal amount shall be bounce by the central government. Thereafter, the beneficiary shall be entitled a guaranteed monthly pension of Rs 3000 per month.
