YCET student excels in Karate International Championship

Jammu, Dec 4: A new feather was added to the cap of YCET when our student namely Roshanshu Wadhera from 1st semester showcased his ability and strength while participating in WADO International Karate Championship. Being a national player he has won many competitions and this was indeed a proud moment for the management as well as for the faculty of YCET as he won the third prize in the WADO International Karate Championship. The event was held in "Geeta Engineering College", Panipat, Haryana on 29& 30th November. The competition was recognized by Government of India (Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports) and International Olympic Committee. Our student astounded everyone through his commendable performance thereby securing 3rd position. In the Championship, there were participants from different countries like Nepal, India and Korea where Roshanshu represented India. Er. Vidhi S. Singh, Chairman JGEI, Er. Renu Bangroo, Managing Director JGEI, congratulated the student and appreciated his magnificent performance. It was really heartening to see our young athlete standing proudly wearing medal and holding certificate. Prof. (Dr.) A.K Srivastava , Director YCET , B.R Verma , Chief Coordinator YCET congratulated the student for his victory and also motivated other students to participate in various sports tournaments as it helps to set a good mindset for those that are participating and helps to hold them accountable for their actions.
