| People demand transparency in recruitment of SPOs | | |

Jammu, Dec 5: People of Rajouri-Poonch range demanded transparency in recruitment of Special Police Officer SPOs and accused a former Additional Superintendent of Police, who was run fake job racket in above said range and duped many.
People of the area appealed Higher ups of the Jammu and Kashmir Police Department to keep vigil on the upcoming SPO recruitment and efforts would be made to select aspirants merit wise so that fake job provider would not able to dupe the innocent by giving false assurances to them.
It is pertinent to mention here that the former Additional SP of foresaid range had duped many aspirants in the last recruitment drive and succeed to mange huge revenue allegedly by making his own list of aspirants.
Later, the matter brought into the notice of senior officer of the same department and the said officer helped the family of those aspirants, who had given cash to the said officer for getting government job, and asked the officer to return immediately.
"After the intervention of the senior officer the cash retuned and also a warning was given to the fake job provider officer that the mistake would not repeat in future," Police officer, seeking anonymity, told, adding that the officer has successful to manage his own transfer to another place to run the show.
Police sources alleged that a requirement drive of SPO is going to be held very soon and the said officer is on job as he is working as motivator, who would entices gullible unemployed youth for Government Job against huge sums of money
DIG Rajouri Poonch Range Vivek Gupta said that steps have been taken by the police to make transparency in the recruitment drive and CCTV cameras would be installed to keep vigil on the activities. "The selection criteria will be followed strictly and there is no compromise with it so that deserving aspirants will get select. |
