Jammu, Dec 5: Reminding Union Home Minister Amit Shah over his commitment to return statehood of Jammu and Kashmir State, Janta Dal (United) JD (U) Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory President G M Shaheen urged upon the Union Home Minister Amit Shah to return Statehood ship of Jammu and Kashmir State as assured by the Central government on the floor of House of Rajya Sabha on August 5, 2019 when BJP government abrogate Article 370 and Article 35A from Jammu and Kashmir State.
G M Shaheen while addressing the press conference at its party headquarters Air lines Complex near Abhinav Theater, Jewel Jammu said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah should fulfill his commitment assured in the Parliament when BJP abrogate Article 370 and 35A include bifurcation the Jammu and Kashmir State into two Union Territories on August 5, 2019. He added that JD (U) will not participate in upcoming due elections in Jammu and Kashmir till return back statehood-ship to Jammu and Kashmir State. Referring to developmental work after establishment of UTs in Jammu and Kashmir, Shaheen alleged that nothing has done on the ground as far as development of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory is concerned as most of the bureaucrats holding 2 to 3 departments are sitting in their offices and left the development work and other concerned issues of the people on the mercy of the God that has been observed after post abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A.
