Sat tours Ward 40, assures residents to overcome problems

Jammu, Dec 6: On demand of inhabitants of the ward, Former Minister and Ex-MLA Jammu West Sat Sharma (CA) visited Kamla Palace road area of Ward 40 , and enquired about the grievances faced by the residents of the area.
As per press statement issued here, Sharma was also accompanied by Corporator Neelam Nargotra, District President BJP Munish Khajuria, Mandal President Keshav Chopra, BJP Leader Ayodhya Gupta, local residents, political activists and officials of various departments including PHE, PDD and UEED.
Speaking on the occasion, Sat Sharma said that there was a long pending demand of widening of Kamla Palace road as earlier the road caused chaos for locals in form of heavy traffic jams, filling of drains during rainy season and other problems were faced by locals which was a major disruption. He stated that during his tenure as MLA the project pertaining to widening of this road was done by the concerned department and problem of drains was also solved with the assistance of UEED and now a streamlined system of deep drain is available in the area.
He also stated that now problem pertaining to shifting of electric poles to maintain the road widening and laying of new pipes is to be done in coming days which will overcome the main problem faced by the residents of the area. He also asked the officials of concerned all three departments to synchronize the works between themselves.
Neelam thanked the former MLA for touring the area and solving the grievances of thousands of inhabitants. She also stated that many works are in pipeline that are recommended by former MLA in the ward and will be taken up in coming days to avoid public distress.
