Katra, Dec 7: A two days workshop on "Latest Trend and Challenges in Cyber Security" was organized by Department of Computer Science and IT, University of Jammu on 6 -7 December 2019. Prof Rahul Gupta director HRDCwas the chief guest during the inaugural ceremony and Prof. Vinay Chouhan, Dean Placement was chief Guest at the Valedictory session. Dr. Anup Girdhar, CEO and founder of Sedulity Solutions and Technologies, New Delhi was the resource person for the workshop. Prof. Rahul Gupta while addressing the gathering appreciated the efforts of the department in organizing such hands-on training program during workshop for the students of computer science. Prof. Lalit Sen Sharma, Head Department of Computer Science and IT, University of Jammu, while welcoming the chief guest and resource person said that the department is regularly organizing conferences, invited talks, workshops in different area of computer science. Prof. Pawanesh Abrol coordinator of workshop explained the importance of cyber security in today's era where most of the financial, social activities are done via internet. This has also led to various network intrusions and unlawful activities like hacking, cyber bullying, phishing, online banking frauds etc.The workshop gave a lot of academic and research exposure to the students of computer science about latest technology, tools and techniques related to cyber security. |
