41 bags ration of FCI seized, one arrested

Samba, Dec 7: Ramgarh Police today seized 41 bags of ration belong to FCI and arrested one person. On reliable information regarding black-marketing of Govt ration supply, a Police Party of Police Station Ramgarh headed by Inspector Chaman Gorkha, immediately swung into action and intercepted one Mahindra load carrier at Ramloo Rasolian, Ramgarh which was coming from Nandpur side.
During checking of the said vehicle, 41 bags of wheat/flour (35 bags of Flour and six bags of Wheat) of FCI Govt Depot each weighing 50 kg were recovered from the vehicle which was being transported for black marketing. The driver of the load carrier was arrested on the spot and all the wheat/flour bags were also seized. "During the preliminary investigation, it has been surfaced that the accused Driver Ashwani Kumar has loaded the ration bags from Govt. Ration Depot Nandpur from one dealer namely Prithvi Raj resident Ranjitpura, Bishnah District Jammu with the intention to get wrongful gain/profit. The arrest of the dealer namely Prithvi Raj is awaited in the case. In this regard, a case FIR No 79/2019 U/S 406/409 IPC, 3/7 Essential Commodities Act, stands registered", they said.
