Early Times Report

JAMMU, Dec 7: Jammu Kashmir State Chief Spokesperson of Bharatiya Janata Party, Sunil Sethi said that applicability of Constitution of India to Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir in toto and consequential abolition of Discriminatory Art 370 and Art 35 A as also erstwhile State Constitution is the biggest Constitutional Change since Independence and this huge development has taken place to give justice and equality to all Indians, including residents of Jammu Kashmir and Ladakh.
Sunil Sethi, said that this development is bringing and ensuring all round development and equality in all regions of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that Opposition Parties and Groups being bereft of any logically stand and being left without any political issues are trying to incite public by making false and irresponsible statements.
He said that Constitution of India permits protection of local population and various states and Territories have made laws and regulations for saving interest of local population, while keeping rights of national population intact. It is unreasonable to say that local population will not get protection as is being available to others in the country, while it is true that we have moved to new system and need to be mentally ready to live in national mainstream to get maximum benefits of developments, which had been denied to Jammu And Kashmir for more than seven decades.
He further noted that government is already working to protect to maximum permissible under Constitution of India parameters, the right of local population for land ownership, Industries and jobs and there is no need for any person to worry on that account. He said that Jammu and Kashmir are in the safest political hands of Narendra Modi and Amit Shahi and people should pay no heed to any misgiving and misinformation by vested elements.
