State Level Committee clears subsidy cases under Central Package of Incentives

Jammu, Dec 7: A meeting of the State Level Committee for sanctioning of subsidy cases under the Central Package of Incentives was today held here under the Chairmanship of Principal Secretary to Govt., Industries & Commerce Department., Naveen Kumar Choudhary.
The Committee sanctioned subsidy cases amounting to Rs. 4.64 Crore for Jammu Division & Rs. 3.99 Crore for Kashmir Division.
The meeting was attended by Director Finance, R C Kotwal, Director Accounts & Treasuries Iftikhar Hussain, Chairman, Federation of Industries, Jammu, Rattan Dogra, Manager J&KDFC Jammu, attended the meeting..

During the meeting, Director Industries & Commerce, Jammu deliberated 57 subsidy cases pertaining to 3% Interest Subsidy, 100% Insurance Subsidy and 4 cases of Kashmir Division including Freight Subsidy, which were cleared. The Chairman SLC stressed upon clearing of all pending cases under the Central Package at the earliest. He directed Director, Industries & Commerce, Kashmir to set up a facilitation cell with Internet facility within his office for facilitation of Industrialists in Kashmir Province for filing their Subsidy claims.
Director Industries & Commerce, Jammu apprised the SLC about the pendency of Transport /Freight Subsidy cases in District Industries Centres due to huge quantum of documents required as per the Checklist.
The Chairman SLC directed both the Directors to review the Checklist in consultation with Federation of Industries, Jammu and Kashmir and frame the proposal for forwarding the same to the Department for Promotion of Industries and Internal Trade, Government of India so that pending cases can be settled accordingly.
Director, Industries & Commerce, Jammu further apprised the SLC that Industrialists are facing difficulty in filing the legal documents for the Sanctioned Subsidy cases due to ongoing strike of lawyers.
The Chairman directed JKDFC member to initiate the process of the payment of Subsidy cases and clear the same only after receipt of concerned legal documents. The SLC further decided to extend the period of execution of legal documents for 3 months from the date of the strike call.
