B2V-II: an eyewash not a single promise made during first-phase fulfilled, allege Sarpanches
12/7/2019 11:04:17 PM
Early Times Report

Jammu, Dec 7: A Sarpanch of a panchayat boycotted the Back to Village program, terming its second phase as an 'eyewash' attempt as nothing as promised during the first phase has not been fulfilled yet.
The Sarpaches from Rajouri district accused government authorities of their failure to come clear on development proposals devised in the first phase of the much-publicized program. They said that the first phase of the programme was held five to six months ago during which all the PRIs and common masses took part in the program.
"There was a fresh ray of hope for the PRIs and local population and everyone were expecting that development in panchayats will receive a boost through the initiative," said an angry Sarpacnch, adding that development plans were prepared but unfortunately the same has been shelved.
"Instead of coming up with a policy to implement the maiden phase, government authorities have come up with phase second but now it seems as if the government is just trying to divert the attention of masses", he said.
