Jammu, Dec 7: Roots the Montessori house celebrated Annual Sports day with great zeal and fervor. The entire sports meet was based on health is wealth theme. A health tree, a dental board with healthy and decayed tooth and a jungle scene showing a lot of endangered animals were on display depicting healthy life practices. The children completed the boards through the activities done in the races. The event included rabbit race, hurdle race, side race, lemon race, and sack race involving activities pertaining to staying healthy like matching good food with healthy tooth, junk food with decayed tooth and putting up images that completed the health tree chart showing simple ways to stay healthy. Cycling was also done by the children as a way to keep environment healthy and as a form of exercise. The children also displayed yoga asana and karate moves in the event. |
