Chandigarh University announces "CUCET-2020"

Jammu, Dec 9: Chandigarh University announced National Level Entrance Test "CUCET-2020" for admissions of new academic session Chandigarh University forays into Distance Learning; Admissions for Jan-2020 session commences for 10 programs .
"Based upon its strong & modern academic model, research initiatives, smart & technology driven, industry patronage, record campus placements, student achievements at international & national sports, technical, cultural competitions and international tie-ups Chandigarh University Gharuan has been able to place itself into the list elite universities and institutions of India" said Dr. R.S.Bawa, Vice-Chancellor, Chandigarh University. He was interacting with the media during a press conference at Jammu. The Vice-Chancellor said that, "Established in the year 2012, Chandigarh University has become the youngest university in India to earn the honor to be ranked A+ Grade University by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC)". While replying to the questions, VC added that, "During the tenure of 7 years of Chandigarh University, the number of students studying from J&K has increased by 60% and currently about 1762 students from different part of the state are currently studying in various professional courses at university campus which includes 868 students from Jammu". While announcing the new admission policy for the academic session 2020-21, Dr. Bawa said, "Chandigarh University would be conducting its own National level Entrance Test CUCET-2020 which would be mandatory for the Engineering and MBA programs while for the other 109 programs offered by the university, the test would offer academic scholarships worth Rs. 27 crores for the students".
