Work remain suspended at Distt Court Kathua

KATHUA, Dec 9: The work remain suspended for the 29th consecutive working day starting from 1st November 2019 in the District & Session Court Kathua including all other subordinate courts of the entire District Kathua and complete shutdown observed by District Bar Association Kathua led by its President Advocate Ajat Shatru Sharma in support of J&K High Court Bar Association Jammu on the issue transfer of Registration powers under Registration Act 1908.
In order to intensify their agitation the members of the District Bar Association Kathua continued their token hunger strike on 38th Day in the premises of District & Sessions Court Kathua, on the similar pattern of J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu. The members also agitated against the wrong executive decision of Lt. Governor G.C. Murmu for snatching the registration powers of Judicial Officers.
The Advocates who sat on hunger strike on the Monday includes Adv. Pawandeep Singh, Adv. Mandeep Singh, Adv. Munish Mahajan, Adv. Pankaj Gupta and Adv. Adarsh Kumar. While addressing the media persons President of the Bar Adv. Ajat Shatru Sharma said that J&K UT Govt. is not taking seriously even after 38 days long strike of Lawyers across Jammu Province on the main issue of diversion of registration powers to revenue authorities. This callous attitude of the Govt. is not good for the political health of BJP in Jammu Province in the near future as its BJP which is heading the Govt. at center and BJP controlled de-facto Govt. in J&K UT.
