| One arrested for firing on neighbour | | |

Jammu, Dec 9: Channi Himmat Police arrested a person for allegedly opening firing on his neighbor with his pistol in Jallo Chack area late yesterday night.
According to sources on the basis of a complaint made by Bhudhi Singh resident of Jallo Chak that at 23:30 last night a person namely Gulshan Singh fired on him by his pistol with the intention to kill him at Jallo Chak and also fired in air with intention to panic the local habitants of the locality and fled from the spot.
"On this case FIR no. 190/19 U/s 307 IPC 3/25-Armed Act registered at Police Post Sainik Colony. A police party led by in-charge Police Post Sainik Colony raided at different places and arrested the accused within a couple of hours and also recovered the weapon of offence from his possession", they said.
The spokesperson said that the arrest was made by SI Vikas Hans in charge PP Sainik Colony under the supervision of Inspector Parvez Sajad SHO Police Station Channi Himmat SDPO City East DySP R S Rahi and overall supervision of Vinay Sharma SP South Jammu. |
