| Advisor Sharma visits Bari Brahmana Industrial Estate | | 'Success stories in industrial sector to inspire upcoming entrepreneurs' | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Dec 9: Advisor to Lt Governor, K K Sharma today undertook an extensive tour of Bari Brahmana Industrial Estate to understand the entrepreneurial scenario besides studying the functioning of several successful units in the Jammu Industrial sector.
He was accompanied by Director Industries, Jammu Anu Malhotra; General Manager Industries, Narmrita Dogra and other senior officers of the department.
The industrial units visited by the Advisor included Pharma sector, carpet manufacturing, dental equipment manufacturing unit, packaging unit, polycarbonate sheet and bottle manufacturing unit which have emerged as major success stories and also outstanding exporting units.
The Advisor, while interacting with the unit holders, expressed hope that they would be an inspiration for the enterprising youth, contemplating to set up their units.
Later, the Advisor held an extensive interaction with the Bari Brahmana Industrial Association (BBIA) and dwelt on various issues concerning the Industries. He said that the government has already introduced several schemes for promotion of the local industrial sector.
While referring to the upcoming Global Investors Summit, the Advisor said that it would be a great opportunity for the local industrial sector as the event is most likely to serve as an opportunity for the renowned industrial houses to explore the avenues of investing here. He said that it would also contribute towards boosting the industrial sector which would result in creation of jobs and changing the economic landscape of J&K.
The BBIA was assured appropriate consideration of their issues and suggestions. |
