DDC Udhampur for cent percent coverage under PMMY

UDHAMPUR, Dec 9:- A week long programme "Matru Vandana Saptah" under Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandhana Yojna organized at district level by Department of Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Udhampur concluded today.
Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Dr. Piyush Singla was the chief guest on the occasion.
Additional District Development Commissioner Ashok Kumar, Chief Planning Officer, Rajeev Bushan, Collector Defence Aniruth Rai, District Information Officer Er. Sajad Bashir Somberia, District Social Welfare Officer Sana Khan, CDPOs, BMOs, supervisors besides field staff of ICDS and ASHA workers of Health Department were also present on occasion.
DDC appreciated the efforts of staff and workers of ICDS and health department for making this week long programme successful and asked the field workers to reach out at doorsteps of each and every beneficiary to ensure cent percent coverage under the scheme up to end of this month.
DDC was informed that as many as 600 cases have been covered under the scheme during this week from 2nd December to 08 December. He directed SDMS, Tehsildars, BDOs and Banks to extend net facility for registration of beneficiaries under this scheme.
DDC also listened issues of anganwadi workers. He assured all possible support from district administration in successful implementation of PMMVY scheme and hoped that this programme should be continued with same passion to provide benefits to maximum number of pregnant women in their respective areas under PMMVY scheme.
Later, DDC also felicitated best performing AWWs by giving mementos for their performance in their respective block.
