Tourism Federation Jammu deputation calls on Lt. Governor

JAMMU, Dec 9: A deputation of Tourism Federation of Jammu (TFJ), called on Lieutenant Governor, Girish Chandra Murmu at the Raj Bhavan here today.
The deputation led by its Chairman, Rajesh Gupta put forth several issues pertaining to the development of Jammu's tourism sector and made certain suggestions including Tourism policy for Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir before J&K Global Investor's Summit, media campaign to nullify the negative reporting on J&K, creating environment for increasing pilgrim tourists' arrival, exploring untapped tourism potential in the sectors like wellness, film, adventure, leisure, border, resumption of work on Tawi River Front on the Sabarmati pattern and Artificial Lake at Jammu, connecting Jammu Rope-way with Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex and restoration of Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex.
They also made suggestions for the introduction of Heritage Rail Journey, development of historic Kameshwar Temple, renovation of Jammu Haat on the lines of Delhi Haat, substantial improvement of public transportation facilities in J&K at par with metros and regular destination tourist-bus service from Jammu to various tourist locations.
The deputation of TFJ comprised of its members-Raman Suri, S. Amrik Singh, B.B Kotwal, Ajay K. Gupta and Kuldeep Luthra also assured extending full cooperation to the Government for creating tourist-friendly environment and boosting tourism industry and economy of J&K.
