Manohar attacks NDA Govt on price rise
12/10/2019 9:21:52 PM
Early Times Report
Kathua, Dec 10: Former Minister and President DCC kathua Dr Manohar lal Sharma today attacked BJP led NDA govt on price rise and accusing it of "complete silence" and "total failure" in controlling the prices of basic commodities and downgrading economy.
While conducting series of meetings at Dayalachak & Mandli area of Billawar constituency Dr Sharma said "The rise in prices of petroleum products every second month during BJP rule emphatically points to an unpious nexus between petrol mafias and ruling party's strategy formulators and the common man will have to bear the burden of an unprecedented costly and difficult future being woven by the pillars of the NDA government. Dr Sharma said that the Modi government is pursuing the "anti-people policies" and alleged that while people were suffering due to the price rise, BJP leaders were diffident in answering questions on the economic front. Manohar further targeted the government over rising onion prices and the state of economy and stated "At present, the economy is slowing down. But the government is not ready to accept.
Further he said "Pandit Nehru (Jawaharlal Nehru) and Indira Gandhi cannot be held responsible for the apocalyptic destruction of the country's economy. The present government is not in a mood to listen to the experts. For them, the economy is like a stock market that has become speculative, and also criticized the center for not doing enough to combat poverty. "This time in the Global Hunger Index, out of 107 countries India has been positioned at 102. In 2014, India was in the 55th position and in the last five years, poverty has increased in the country while in the neighboring countries such as Nepal, Bangladesh, and Pakistan it has reduced. There no work in the hands of the people and no food in their stomach. This is the condition of the common people of our country but the rulers are calling it development. Our economy is sick, but the Modi government is not ready to accept this either, Manohar said. Others present were Subash gupta (Ex MLC), BL KANDLEY, CAPT TARA CHAND, KARAM CHAND KHAJURIA, Budhi singh, rumal singh, Shiv kumar Kapoor, Dayal singh, Sumit Mehta & others.
