Nehru Yuva Kendra Jammu organizes awareness programme on Swachh Bharat

JAMMU, Dec 10: Nehru Yuva Kendra Jammu today organized an awareness programme on Swachh Bharat Abhiyan at P.W.D Conference Hall Jammu in which more than 150 participants drawn from various youth clubs, Mahila Mandels of District Jammu and Samba participated. While addressing the gathering, Director General Youth Service and Sports Dr. Salim-Ul - Rehman said that the Objective of the programme was to disseminate information about the life and works of Mahatma Gandhi among the youth to aware them about cleanliness, sanitation, elimination of annual scavenging and promotion of ODF besides giving them exposure to understand essential oneness of all religion, social harmony, community service, unity and diversity of the country. State Director Nehru Yuva kendra Jammu Bikram Singh Gill aware the participant about the cleanliness and also motivated the volunteers to adopt their village to convey the message of cleanliness to all the people living there. Deputy Director Nehru Yuva kendra Jammu S.S Bedi interacted with all the participants and convey them the importance of cleanliness.
