JAMMU, Dec 11: A state level Declamation contest on the topic 'Patriotism and Nation Building and with the theme of "Sabka Sath ,Sabka Vikas , Sabka Vishwas" has been organized in the Conference Hall of PWD Dak Bungalow, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu under the supervision of Bikram S Gill, State Director, NYKS, J&K.
Saleem-ul-Rehman, Director General, Youth Service and Sports, J&K was the Chief Guest of the Programme. Surbjeet Singh Bedi, Deputy Director, NYKS welcomed the Chief Guest and give the details of Declamation contest.
Bikram Singh Gill, State Director informed that out of 14 district NYKs the 8 district NYKs Kathua, Jammu, Rajouri, Doda, Poonch, Udhampur, Leh and Kargil has organized District level Declamation contest .
The 1st winners of District level Declamation contest from Kathua, Jammu, Rajouri, Doda, Poonch, and Udhampur participated in state level contest. The participants from Leh and Kargil could not participate due to closure of National High way on account of heavy snow fall. The judges for the contest were. Razia Chaudhary, Lecturer, Modern Higher Secondary School, Manu Khajuria, Senior Lecturer, Government Senior Secondary School and Bimlesh Kaur. Nayeeda Chaudhary from Samba District, Humara Hashimy from district Poonch and Amir Suhail from district: Doda secured 1st, 2nd and 3rd position respectively. The 1st winner of state level contest will participate in National level Declamation contest to be held at Delhi in the month of January 2020. Citation certificate and Cash Awards for Rs 25, 000, Rs 10,000 and Rs 5000 had been given to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd winner respectively by the Chief Guest.
