Dwivedi reviews progress on Forest deptt projects taken up under CSSs, CAPEX budget

JAMMU, Dec 12, Commissioner Secretary, Forest, Environment and Ecology, Manoj Kumar Dwivedi today reviewed the progress on departmental projects taken up under central schemes and current year CAPEX budget, here at a high level meeting.
Threadbare discussions were held regarding utilization of CAPEX budget (2019-20) funds, implementation of Centrally Sponsored Schemes (CSSs) and other pending works of the Forest department and allied wings. While reviewing the expenditure under CAPEX budget 2019-20, the Commissioner Secretary asked for speeding up the process of utilization of the funds to complete all the projects by the year end. He further stressed upon speeding up the ongoing works under centrally sponsored schemes and revalidation of the APOs.
Taking work wise review, he stressed upon the concerned authorities to complete already taken up 160 works on priority. Meanwhile, Dwivedi stressed upon the CAMPA authorities to gear up their efforts for early completion of the works and meeting the set targets in accordance to the guidelines of the scheme. He also sought report on audit objections and reconciliation of accounts from head of the departments.
The meeting was attended by Principal Chief Conservator Forest (PCCF), JK, Dr Mohit Gera; Director, Social Forestry, B Siddharath Kumar; Director, Finance, Forest Department, R S Bali; Director, Soil and Water Conservation, P K Singh; Director, FPF, A M Sagar; Director, SFRI, Om Prakash; Chief Warden, Wildlife Protection Department, Suresh K Gupta and Director and IRD, Forest, Parvaiz Handoo.
