Tehsildar retrieved 39 Kanals prime state land in Jammu West

JAMMU, Dec 12: Rajesh Kumar Baru Tehsildar Jammu West retrieved 39 Kanals of State Land worth Rs 23 Crores as per stamp duty rates in a prime location in Village Gole of Tehsil Jammu West District Jammu.
Deputy Commissioner Jammu has categorically directed all Sub-Divisional Magistrates and Tehsildars during revenue officers meetings to make lists of all such illegal encroachers who have encroached upon State, Kahcharai and Common Land and evict them after following due procedures and laws.
Taking cognizance of the directions, Rajesh Baru Tehsildar Jammu West directed field staff to prepare lists of all such encroachers who have encroached upon State Kahcharai and Common Land by illegal means.
Naib Tehsildar Gole after perusal of respective spots and relevant revenue records has reported that nearly 16 assamis have encroached upon 39 Kanals state land Sarkar Makbooja Sarkar near SoS School by raising pacca structures over it.
Tehsildar Jammu West in exercise of Powers vested in him under Section 133 of Land Revenue Act, Svt.1996 and based on the recommendations of field staff and after providing due opportunity of being heard to all illegal occupants within the provisions of the Land Revenue Act issued order for the eviction of all encroachers from State Land measuring 39 kanals in Village Gole worth crores of rupees and retrieved the same on spot by demolishing all pacca structure raised over it.
The demolition drive was carried out by Rajesh Baru Tehsildar Naib Tehsildar Gole Vijay Kumar GQ Kewal Kumar Patwari Farooq Ahmad Lambardar and Chowkidar under the overall supervision of Vijay Sharma ACR Jammu. Tehsildar further instructed field staff to remain vigilant and act tough against all illegal encroachers in respective areas of their jurisdiction.
Pertinent to mention here that Rajesh Baru Tehsildar Jammu West during his tenure as Tehsildar Thakrakote and Pouni in district Reasi acting tough against the illegal encroachers has retrieved nearly 31784 Kanals of State Land 487 Kanals of kah- charai land and 40 Kanals of common land.
