Mayor Starts Development works in Jammu City

Jammu, Dec 12: Continuing the drive to provide better development as well as basic amenities to the people of General Public of Jammu, Mayor Jammu Municipal Corporation Chander Mohan Gupta today on 12-12-2019 conducted intensive tour of ward No.29 Shakti Nagar Jammu alongwith Sh. Surinder Chowdhary Councilor of the ward and Started construction work of Green walkway along with canal side at Shakti Nagar with an estimate cost of Rupees five lakh only.
This was the long pending demands of the inhabitants of that area. Sh. Ayodhya Gupta Senior BJP leader Sh. Karan Sharma & other prominent citizens as well as concerned contractor was present who was directed to finish the said walkway on merits to provide eco friendly atmosphere for the public of Shakti Nagar.
Later, Mayor also conducted tour of Ward No.47 Bahu fort area alongwith Smt. Sharda Devi Coucillor of the Ward and started the construction work of lanes & drains at Kacha Talab Bahu Fort on the demands of Public. The said work will be completed at the estimate cost of Rupees seventeen lakh by Jammu Municipal Corporation. Vinay Gupta District President BJP, Sh. Vivek Ji, Sh. Anuradha Charak, and other BJP leaders & inhabitants of ward No.47 accompanied the Mayor during the tour. Mayor directed the AEE JMC Sh. Anil Gupta & other Engineering wing staff of JMC to expedite the construction work with quality material & up to the satisfaction of public of the ward and appeal to the general public to co-operate with Jammu Municipal Corporation to the ongoing development works in all the wards of Jammu city.
He committed that the most of residents residing in Bahu Fort area are of BPL families and special assistance in terms of development activities, street lights, as well as other facilities will be provided to them on priority basis so that they can live there with dignity & pride.
