Poonch, Dec 12: Sarpanches and panches of eleven blocks of the district have alleged that they have not been paid their salaries for the last eight months sources said here today.
They said that they were going through financial crisis and it was not a huge amount said a panch of Mendhar Tazim Kazmi to be paid to them adding the salary of a sarpanch is RS 2500 and Panch gets Rs 1000 only per month so there should not have any issue in this regard he added.
Meanwhile ACD Poonch, Abdul Qayoom Mir has admitted while talking to Early Times that elected Panchayat members salaries were pending for the last quite some time and efforts are being made to pay them in full very soon, he added. |
