Similarly major areas of Ramban District of Chenab valley also witnessed heavy snowfall as a result of which the traffic on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway was stopped by the authorities due to slippery condition of the road. The traffic on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway will remain close for tomorrow as well due to slippery condition of the road as well as due accumulation of snow around Jawhar tunnel, however the authorities said that the final decision with regard to allowing any traffic will be taken after assessing the condition of the National Highway after weather conditions will improve. The official sources informed that the traffic on Kishtwar-Jammu National Highway was allowed by the authorities today as the road witness no major blockade due to snowfall and the continuous rains, but the authorities had decided to suspend the traffic of Kishtwar-Jammu National Highway till 8 AM tomorrow morning added that the final decision with regard to vehicular movement on Kishtwar-Jammu and other local link roads will be allowed after accessing the road condition subjected to the snow clearance as well as slippery conditions of the roads due to freezing conditions that makes the roads vulnerable to accidents.
