JSS Kathua participates in Cycle Rally

Jammu, Dec 13: Harsh Tomar of Class 11th of Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua participated in 'Cycle Rally' organised by the Excise Department in collaboration with Surinsar-Mansar Development Authority to spread awareness against Drug Abuse. He has been one of the five extraordinary cyclists out of forty five participants who has been rewarded with a trophy of appreciation for his outstanding achievement. The theme of the cyclothon was 'Say No To Drugs, Say Yes To Sports'. The cycle rally was flagged of by Deputy Excise Commissioner Executive Sardar Amarjeet Singh(KAS) in presence of CEO SDMA Nagender Singh Jamwal from Sidhra Golf Course to picturesque lake destination of Surinsar. The rally was organized to promote healthy lifestyle among youth and to introduce the younger generation to adventure activities like cycling, trekking, hiking and camping.
The cycle rally passed through Bajalta, Aitham and Surinsar-Mansar Wildlife Sanctuary to culminate at Lake Front Park at Surinsar. Mili R. Sumbria, Principal Jammu Sanskriti School Kathua congratulated Harsh Tomar for his splendid performance and also encouraged other students to participate in such competitions to enhance over all physical self.
