Awareness camp held for implementation of EPFO Act in UT

JAMMU, Dec 13: An Awareness Programme on Implementation of EPFO Act for the Industrial Sector of Jammu and Kashmir was conducted by EPFO (Employees Provident Fund organization) Govt. of India, Jammu in collaboration with Bari Brahmana Industries Association at BBIA Bhawan.
The awareness camp held in presence of Lalit Mahajan, President BBIA, K. Prashant, Regional P.F. Commissioner, EPFO, Tarun Singla Sr. Vice President, Ajay Langer Vice President, Viraaj Malhotra General Secretary, Rajesh Jain, Secretary, Vivek Singhal Treasurer BBIA, Venketa Narendra, Enforcement Officer P.F. and Members of Bari Brahmana Industries Association.
While welcoming the officials of the EPFO, Jammu and Members of Industrial Fraternity, Lalit Mahajan, President, BBIA, in his presidential remarks appreciated the steps taken by Employees Provident Fund organization, Jammu for conducting such seminar to educate the Industrial Sector in respect of conversion of Employees from State Provident Fund to "EPFO " (Employees Provident Fund organization) Govt. of India.
The EPFO Scheme is very beneficial for the Employees with the Pension Benefits after the Retirement or in case of Death in Service to the Family Members.
Lalit Mahajan also requested the Regional Commissioner EPFO to kindly provide an opportunity to the Unit Holders for the modification in the Returns to avoid any legal action.
While speaking on the occasion, K. Prashant, Regional P.F. Commissioner, EPFO, appreciated the steps by the BBIA to educate the Industrial Fraternity & requested the unit holders to contact the EPFO Department in case of any query. A power point representation was given by Venketa Narendra, Enforcement Officer P.F. In respect of filling of their returns in New EPFO Accounts was also given during the seminar.
