POONCH, Dec 14: District Development Commissioner, Rahul Yadav today chaired a meeting for the constitution of Action plan for District Environment Plan and Bio Diversity Management Committees.
The meeting was attended by DFO Mohan Chaudhary, GM DIC, ACD, CMO, CEO Municipality, District Pollution Control Officer, District Mineral Officer Poonch besides other concerned officers.
During the meeting, threadbare discussions were held to make action plan for District Environment Plan and Bio Diversity Management. Inputs were put forth to improve Air Quality Index by keeping check on open stable burning, Forest fire, Mining activities. DDC instructed the concerned officers to submit their Plan pertaining to Environment as per the guidelines of National Green Tribunal. DDC further gave strict directions to the District Mineral Officer for controlling illegal mining activities and to cease vehicles involved in illegal mining. DDC also stressed upon constitution of Bio Diversity Management Committee at Block and Panchayat level chaired by Block Development Chairpersons and Sarpanchs respectively. |
