Srinagar, Jan 13: The Cluster University (CU) on Monday postponed all examinations following moderate to heavy snowfall in Kashmir valley since early Monday morning. However, students of tuition and coaching centres had to attend their classes despite the extreme weather. A spokesman for the CU said that in view of the snowfall since early this morning, all examinations which were scheduled to be held today have been postponed. The next date for examinations would be announced later.
However, students, including girls, could be seen walking on snow towards their respective coaching and tuition centres in Srinagar and other parts of the valley.
Educational institutions in the valley remained closed due to winter vacations. |
