Union Council of Ministers to visit valley after February

Jammu , Jan 17: Following the visit of envoys of 16 countries in Jammu and Kashmir a week ago, the central government has announced that the Union Council of Ministers would visit J&K again in second phase after February. The visit of the ministers aims to spread awareness about positive impact of abrogation of Article 370 and development measures taken by government.
According to news agency, the Union Minister who would get the opportunity to visit Jammu and Kashmir in the first phase, would visit J&K in second phase whose dates will be announced later. The latest development arrived a week after 16 envoys of 16 countries concluded their two-day visit last Friday. Among the team included US ambassador to India Kenneth Juster. Union Council of Ministers to visit J&K again in second phase after February, to spread awareness about positive impact of abrogation of Art 370 & development measures taken by govt. Ministers who will not be visiting J&K in first phase, to visit J&K in second phase.
During the visit, the foreign delegates visited a Kashmiri migrant camp at Jagati on the outskirts of Jammu, and met several Kashmiri political leaders, including Ghulam Hasan Mir, Altaf Bukhari, Shoaib Iqbal Lone, andd others. They also met with civil society leaders and businessmen in Kashmir.
The foreign envoys were from the United States, South Korea, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Maldives, Morocco, Fiji, Norway, Philippines, Argentina, Peru, Niger, Nigeria, Togo and Guyana. This was the second visit of foreign delegates -- after October, 2019 -- to Jammu and Kashmir since Article 370 was abrogated in August, 2019.
