Inauguration of M.A Stadium will fulfill our dreams, says cricket freaks

Jammu, Jan 17: With the inauguration of Maulana Azad (M.A) Cricket Stadium here at the Jammu, the dream of witnessing cricket matches at a gigantic stadium with huge amount of capacity is finally being achieved at the city of temples.
The Maulana Azad Cricket Stadium was inaugurated by Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor G.C Murmu. MA stadium is constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 42.17 crore as per norms of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The project was undertaken under the Prime Minister’s Development Package and was executed by the National Projects Construction Corporation. The sitting capacity of the stadium is around 20,000.
As stadium stands complete local youths are now dreaming big as they feel that they can achieve big in cricket and witness history in the making. Group of people talked with Early Times and shared their experience.
“I had always watched cricket stadium on Televisions, but it has become a reality in Jammu city which was not here before”, said Hrithik Sharma. He added that I hope more players will come from Jammu city now into the cricket field and will achieve big.
Sharma said that it is not long before that we will player like Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma from Jammu city.
“The stadium will give moral boost to our local youth who used to practice in dirt pitches now they can deliver their performance in front of huge audience”, said another cricket lover. He added moreover our state cricket team will now be able to practice and they will feel like home at M.A Stadium.
“I am eagerly waiting for the International matches that will be played at M.A Stadium as I never had the privilege to watch any match live”, said, Kumar.
