Mysterious disease kills 8 children in Ramnagar

Udhampur, Jan 17: Panic gripped in Ramnagar tehsil of District Udhampur after at least eight children’s below the age of four years died and six hospitalized due to the mysterious diseases in Ramnagar tehsil of District Udhampur of Jammu and Kashmir Union territory. The deaths of children’s reported in the radius of 30-40 km of hilly area of Ramnagar tehsil like Marta , Gundiyan ,katwalt of district Udhampur. Meanwhile Health department constitute a team of doctors to ascertain the cause of death.
K.C Dogra Chief Medical officer (CMO) Udhampur confirmed the death of eight children due to mysterious sickness and some children hospitalized in various Hospitals like PGI Chandigarh, Ludhiana and others . He said that the investigation of mysterious illness is underway to solve the mystery of said sickness because all cases of death had similar symptoms (common history ). He also added that Block level Heath Team and District Rapid Response Team of Health Department have been deputed to several villages to investigate the cause of deaths. He also added that Public not to Panic and do not believe in rumours and if there is any case having symptoms of fever, vomiting and low urine passage, consulted to the nearby PHC or Hospital as soon as Possible . He also added that health department also on alert and we try our best to identify the cause of Disease.
Reports said that , Surayansh age one and half year ,son of Madan Lal, resident of village Kella in Ramnagar Tehsil of district Udhampur, Surbhi age three years , Daughter of Govind Ram, Resident of Marta , Ramnagar , Janvi 11 months old Daughter of Anil Kumar, Resident of Gundiyan Ramnagar , Kanish age three and half years son of Sushil Kumar, resident of Tathpal in Ramnagar , Luxmi devi four year Resident of Marta , Pinku ageone and half year Son of Romesh Kumar were died due to mysterious diseases .
