CS visits Poonch, Rajouri to review preparations for Union Minister’s public outreach programme

POONCH, Jan 17: Chief Secretary B V R Subrahmanyam today visited the border belts of twin districts of Poonch and Rajouri to review preparations for the upcoming public outreach programme to be conducted by the Union Ministers in both the districts.
The CS was accompanied by Commissioner Secretary School Education, Hirdesh Kumar Singh.
CS took appraisal of all necessary arrangements being made for public outreach programme of Union Ministers and issued directions to different departments for putting in their best efforts towards successful conduct of this people friendly initiative of the government.
CS informed that the Union Ministers will visit the districts under the public outreach programme with an objective of disseminating information about the importance of Centrally Sponsored Schemes in overall development of every part of the Union Territory.
He asked the officers to work with added zeal and devotion to ensure that all arrangements are put in place in time for successful conduct of these public outreach camps. Venue Officers, designated for these camps, have been asked to chalk out strategy for different arrangements to be made in the areas of their respective jurisdictions well in time.
Meanwhile, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Mohammad Nazir Sheikh informed, in a meeting held in this regard, that these camps will be held in Sunderbani, Kalakote, Nowshera, Rajouri, Manjakote and Kotranka.
He further informed that for smooth conduct of public outreach camps Venue Officers have already been designated which included ADC Sunderbani for public outreach camp at Sunderbani, ADC Nowshera for public outreach camp at Nowshera, ADC Kotranka for public outreach camp at Kotranka, ACR Rajouri for public outreach camp at Rajouri and ACD Rajouri for public outreach camp at Manjakote. He informed that Additional Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Sher Singh, has been designated as Coordinating Officer for logistic support.
Regarding arrangements, Nazir Sheikh informed that all the arrangements for these public outreach camps are in place and concerned officers have been assigned their duties.
Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Rahul Yadav, informed about the status of arrangements being made in the district for conduct of these public outreach camps.
