SHO transferred for taking plot to shield murder accused

Jammu, Jan 17: Keeping in view reports of the involvement of senior police officers in the real-estate business, higher-ups in the police department has recently transferred one SHO from the outskirt of Jammu after it was established that he has taken gift of plot in lieu of hushing up a murder case.
Credible sources said that some people brought to the notice of police higher-ups that one SHO, deployed in the outskirts of Jammu was doing business allegedly in lieu of protecting murder accused. It was only after receiving such reports, higher-ups had started investigation and during preliminary investigation it was found that cases of murders were reported from the areas where the said cop had served as SHO. Taking swift action, higher-ups transferred that SHO.
Credible sources said that recently in a murder case the same cop had alleged took a piece of land from the accused family and transfer this land in the name of one of his close relative. This cop is notorious for minting money in the name of shielding murder accused. When the cop was SHO in a border area, a number of murders took place.
